91制片厂 & the Public Awards $65,000 to 20 cutting-edge and community-driven 91制片厂 organizations
The 91制片厂 & the Public announced that $65,000 in grants have been given to 20 extraordinary organizations supporting 91制片厂 education and science literacy.
The 91制片厂 Action Grant Program aims to bolster and support community-driven nonprofit organizations that are working to enhance the public鈥檚 understanding of science and to increase participation of underrepresented populations in 91制片厂 fields.
Half of the organizations the 91制片厂 is funding in 2019 previously received support from the 91制片厂, with $30,500 going to continued support. To date (including this announcement), the 91制片厂 has given $170,000 to 29 organizations seeking to improve access to 91制片厂 education.
鈥淭he 91制片厂 & the Public is eager to support organizations that engage young people with 91制片厂 in innovative ways,鈥� said Maya Ajmera, President and CEO of the 91制片厂 & the Public and Publisher of Science News. 鈥淭hese organizations are seeking to lower the barriers to entry in 91制片厂 fields, ensuring students from all backgrounds are provided an opportunity to explore 91制片厂 fields and have meaningful experiences.鈥�
